This, is Looe Key Reef directly south of Big Pine Key. Diving, Snorkeling, and Fishing the Reef and surrounding waters is what we do here ! This Living Coral Reef can be accessed in about a half an hour or better and it has some of the most varied and abundant sealife in the U.S. and yes, those little white dots are boats. There are buoys provided to tie off to, no anchoring is allowed. You are also looking right at the "fingers" of the Reef, these are the reef walls which contain thousands of varieties of beautiful Tropical Fish, Living Coral and Sealife !

We highly  recommend Cudjoe Gardens Marina in the Lower Keys, talk to Capt. Tim or Judy. Located on Drost Drive, MM 21,Cudjoe Key. They also rent boats,and provide everything you'll need from a full service Marina. Fuel, Dockage,Supplies,etc.      On Big Pine Key: contact Mary Ann and the gang at   Underseas Inc. 

To quote one of the best divemasters in the Keys, Capt. Noel Kartman   "Once they experience the reef it's usually the folks that take the most time gettin' in, that are the hardest to get out of the water" I've been doing this for over 20 years and I still get a kick out of watching people check out the reef"," it's very safe and great for all ages."
